Welcome

What divides Israel from Palestinians
Television personality Art Linkletter, who recently passed away at age 97, had the secret for achieving peace in the Middle East.

Linkletter, who experienced many setbacks and tragedies in his life, observed, "Things turn out best for the people who make the best out of the way things turn out."

Adherence to this simple bit of wisdom sums up why Israel has been a story of success and miracles and why the Palestinian Arabs languish.

Take the case of Gaza, which is getting so much attention now.

Navy SEAL Found Not guilty of Assaulting a Suspected Terrorist
The real crime here is that this trial occured at all.

Virginia military jury found a Navy SEAL not guilty on charges of punching a suspected Iraqi terrorist.

Matthew McCabe, a Special Operations Petty Officer Second Class (SO-2), was facing three charges: dereliction of performance of duty for willfully failing to safeguard a detainee, making a false official statement, and assault.

Dirty Tricks Aplenty in Congress
The New York Times has exposed Jonathan Gruber, a professor
of economics at M.I.T., as having published an article on their
Op-Ed page supporting ObamaCare without disclosing that he had
an ongoing consulting relationship with HHS.

The Times noted that Professor Gruber had signed a contract
obligating him to reveal such relationships. It would have
been impossible for him to "forget" his consultancy - he had
nearly $400,000 worth of lucrative contracts with HHS at the time!

What Are President Obama's Actual Objectives?
He campaigned against private sector economic mismanagement, and the “harsh realities” of global capitalism. He pledged during his campaign to end corruption in both the government, and the private sector.

Going Rogue by Sarah Palin FREE

After he took office, he claimed that he had “inherited” the worst economic situation in his country’s recent history. And then, the new President sought to consolidate his power. Once privately-owned enterprises became government-owned and operated entities, and were “restructured” so as to become, essentially, “workers’ cooperatives.”

Conservative versus Liberal

If a conservative doesn’t like guns, they don’t buy one.
If a liberal doesn’t like guns, then no one should have one.

If a conservative is a vegetarian, they don’t eat meat.
If a liberal is, they want to ban all meat products for everyone.

If a conservative sees a foreign threat, he thinks about how to defeat his enemy.
A liberal wonders how to surrender gracefully and still look good.

If a conservative is homosexual, they quietly enjoy their life.
If a liberal is homosexual, they loudly demand legislated respect.

If a black man or Hispanic is conservative, they see themselves as independently successful.
Their liberal counterparts see themselves as victims in need of government protection..

If a conservative is down-and-out, he thinks about how to better his situation.
A liberal wonders who is going to take care of him.

If a conservative doesn’t like a talk show host, he switches channels.
Liberals demand that those they don’t like be shut down.

If a conservative is a non-believer, he doesn’t go to church.
A liberal wants any mention of God or religion silenced.

If a conservative needs health care, he shops for it, or chooses a job that provides it.
A liberal demands that his neighbors pay for his health care.

I got this email from Arlen Spectre
A key point in the President’s presentation was his insistence that there not be any addition to the deficit or to the national debt, and he outlined a number of ideas where savings can be obtained. It is important in the public option that the President’s ideas be implemented to maintain a level playing field with private insurance plans.

I was very perturbed, frankly, about the outburst by South Carolina Representative Joseph Wilson who did not show proper respect to either the President or the Office of the Presidency. Representative Wilson has already issued an apology. In my own view, that is insufficient. I believe that there has to be consideration by the House of Representatives as to disciplinary action; that is within their purview. But being in the Chamber and seeing the outburst, it was unseemly and that kind of conduct ought not to be tolerated.

As we move ahead on the health care debate, my office and I remain open to your suggestions and your input. I had some raucous town meetings last month, and I believe it is very important in a democracy for people to be able to express themselves. During August I traveled the state in accordance with my customary policy to visit all of Pennsylvania’s 67 counties and heard a lot of concerns about unemployment, the economy, global warming and immigration. So if you have any ideas, drop me a line. In a representative democracy, the more I hear from Pennsylvania’s citizens the better job I can do in the United States Senate.

Thank you,

Hey fat guy ...
If the health care system in America is broken, it has nothing to do with the government or insurance companies. It has to do with human beings unwilling to take responsibility for their lives.

The system does have one huge flaw, no doubt, and that flaw should be addressed. That can be done with a few simple steps – steps that will not take trillions of dollars or 1,000 pages of new regulations administered by bureaucrats who do nothing efficiently other than waste money.

Labor report: Unemployment rate steadies in July [Prosperity is just around the corner!
The press would go into paroxysms of fury if anyone lost a job in George W. Bush's full employment economy, but libbies explode into a frenzy of celebration that 'prosperity is just around the corner' no matter how many jobs are dismantled under Hussein Obama.

Market Watch: "In the clearest suggestion yet of a recession, U.S. nonfarm payrolls fell by 63,000 in February" -- February 2008, that is. The jobless rate came in at a 'recessionary' 4.8 percent.

This is Market Watch yesterday: "In another hopeful sign that the worst recession in a generation is finally easing, the government estimated Friday that fewer jobs were lost in July than in any month in nearly a year." The jobless rate came in at a 'hopeful' 9.4 percent.

Got that? This sounded a little fishy, so I forwarded it to flag@whitehouse.gov.

Home: No place for Bible study
County demands pastor obtain $10,000 permit to host friends

A San Diego pastor and his wife claim they were interrogated by a county official and warned they will face escalating fines if they continue to hold Bible studies in their home.

The couple, whose names are being withheld until a demand letter can be filed on their behalf, told their attorney a county government employee knocked on their door on Good Friday, asking a litany of questions about their Tuesday night Bible studies, which are attended by approximately 15 people.
